How to Write SF

The Craft of Writing Science Fiction that Sells by Ben Bova, best-selling author and six-time Hugo Award winner for Best Editor. (This is one of the books your ol' Critter Captain learned from himself, and I highly recommend it.) (Also via Amazon)

The Sigil Trilogy

If you're looking for an amazing, WOW! science fiction story, check out THE SIGIL TRILOGY. This is — literally — one of the best science fiction novels I've ever read.

Interviewed!

I was interviewed live on public radio for Critters' birthday, for those who want to listen.

Known Issues

Below is a list of know issues reported with the Reader' Poll. If you know of a problem and don't see it listed here, you may report it here.

In Science Fiction & Fantasy Novels, I've added two books: Alien Separation and Alien in Chief both by Gini Koch complete with links and they aren't showing up at all.

In Nonfiction books page, Unable to add any titles/author/URL…..nothing

In Thriller Novels, 'Freud's Lost Journals' is a duplicate of 'Freud[s Lost Journals'. Besides the apostrophe showing up as a bracket, the Smashwords link does not work either, so I changed to the Amazon link.

In Young Adult Books, 'Shattered Frost' is a duplicate of 'Shattered Frost'.

In Mystery Novels, 'mins Sherlock Holmes and the Mummy's Curse' is a duplicate of 'Sherlock Holmes and the Mummy's Curse'.

In Anthologies page, 'Gray Shadows Under a Harvest Moon' is a duplicate of 'Gray Shadows Under a Harvest Moon'. You have three versions of Gray Shadows Under a Harvest Moon. The one with BookBaby is the right one. I hope you combine the votes, because they are voting for my book, but I'm getting emails they are just picking one because they want to vote for this book.

In Thriller Novels, Hi! The URL for kari fisher's through glass is missing. Thanks!

In Erotica Novels, This message keeps popping up after I vote and type in a message. I don't see a box or space to type in or answer this question. ERROR: Failed the 'are you human?' test on typing the two words. Please hit 'back' in your browser and try again.

In Book/e-book Cover Artwork page, 'http://' is a typo and should read: 'http://www.amazon.com/Visions-II-Saturn-W-Fix-ebook/dp/B014C8B3X8/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1452162771&sr=1-1&keywords=visions+ii+moons+of+saturn'.

In Review Site page, 'I Smell Sheep' is a duplicate of 'I Smell Sheep'. I Smell Sheep is on the list twice. Worried the votes will get divided up and not all will count. Thanks!

In Fiction Magazine/e-zines page, 'Far Horizons ' is a duplicate of 'Far Horizons tales of scifi fantasy and horror '. 'Far Horizons ' is a typo and should read: 'Far Horizons tales of scifi fantasy and horror '.

In Science Fiction & Fantasy Novels, Edward Ashton's "Three Days in April" appears on the list, but not in Current Standing. Half a dozen entries are tied at #18 but I don't see Ashton anywhere. Thanks.

In Steampunk Novels, E.E. Giorgi's "Akaela" is cyberpunk, not steampunk, but it's currently #3 in steampunk, so I hesitate to move it over to Young Adult. It's science fiction, it's YA, but I confused the -punks. I don't want her to lose votes from her fans. Mea culpa!

In Book/e-book Cover Artwork page, 'Chet Gottfried' is a typo and should read: 'Erick Eyerman, artist'.

In Young Adult Books, 'Einar and the Myrtledale Consiracy' is a typo and should read: 'Einar and the Myrtledale Conspiracy'.

In Mystery Novels, 'mins Sherlock Holmes and the Mummy's Curse, Stephanie Osborn, Pro Se Press' is a duplicate of 'Sherlock Holmes and the Mummy's Curse, Stephanie Osborn, Pro Se Productions'.

In All other Novels, 'hidden Shadows' is a typo and should read: 'Hidden Shadows'.
